Alaric Jackson
Offensive tackle
Hawkeye Nation, welcome Alaric Jackson to the #Hawkeyes | #IowaNSD16 https://t.co/8QSZvTSJep
— Hawkeye Football (@HawkeyeFootball) February 3, 2016
Hometown: Detroit, Michigan
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 285
247 Sports Composite Rating: 3-star, 633rd nationally, 56th OT
Other Offers: Michigan State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa State, Michigan (maybe)
COMPARISON: Since his time in the NFL, Kirk Ferentz has been looking for his college version of Jonathan Ogden. That's probably not here in Jackson, but Ferentz may have another Dace Richardson. Dace was an Army All-American and four- or five-star prospect, depending on where you looked. Jackson has only played football for two years, but like Richardson, Jackson has a big frame and good agility (both played basketball for their high school teams). Jackson could be Iowa's starting left tackle in 2018.
