COMPARISON: Jones may need a year or two to find the field, unlike Aaron Mends (an Iowa LB recruit last year), but physically they're similar. Both stand around 6' tall and are physical specimens. Mends arrived at Iowa just after three seniors departed from the linebacker position. Jones will have plenty of guys in front of him, but it gives him a couple of years to develop before breaking into the two-deeps at middle linebacker.
