The Big Ten Tournament utilizes a double-elimination format, so yesterday's (pretty much expected) loss to Indiana did not in fact end this thoroughly enjoyable season for Iowa baseball. No, they're still alive -- at least for one more game. The dropped game to Indiana means that their margin of error is now gone -- any additional losses really will mean the end of the season for this Iowa squad -- but hey. We'll get at least one more game out of 'em -- and hopefully more.
Today's opponent is our rodent-loving friends from up north, Minnesota. Hayden's_Aviators has the preview you need for the game here; Iowa took two of three from the Gophers earlier this season, but the Gophers had a better overall B1G campaign (which is why they were the #4 seed here and Iowa was the #8 seed).
The game will get underway at approximately 2 PM CT (barring any more rain delays in Omaha) and will be televised on BTN.
The usual rules apply.
