Kinnick Stadium is getting its bad and boujee on

NCAA Football: Illinois State at Iowa Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

After nearly 40-years Kinnick Stadium has finally got a tiger hawk in the middle of it’s sacred field:

I’m not going to lie, I thought this was a generated graphic of what the real logo would look like if people were painting it on the 50-yard line. I don’t know what kind of filter this picture was processed through, but they should sell it to Mark Zuckerberg ASAP. It’s absolutely lovely.

Anyways, from the look of the responses in The Pant’s Slack group as well as on Twitter, Iowa fans seem thoroughly pleased with the way it looks (and that’s without the numbers even on yet). There’s just something about the two-toned color on the turf and the thought of Akrum Wadley running all over it that just gets the people going.

Here’s a look at the live video feed of the field renovations, provided by hawkeyesports.com. Maybe the numbers will go on sometime soon!
