Iowa-Iowa State is tied, 3-3, in the second quarter, but Iowa's already dealing with a potentially significant loss -- Drew Ott appeared to suffer an injury in a dogpile after an Iowa State fumble. He left the field after the play and headed to the locker room almost immediately. The reports from media don't sound good.

Hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds and Ott will be able to return -- if not today then at least in the next few weeks. Ott's arguably the best player on Iowa's defense (it's either him or King, right?) and maybe on the entire Iowa team. Iowa can ill afford to lose him for an extended period of time.
UPDATE: He's done for the day. We'll have to wait until later to find out more about his status going forward.
