Caring Is Creepy: Have a Seat James Daniels

Per the recruitniks, Daniels immediately becomes one of the best recruits in Iowa's 2015 haul. Rivals pegs him as a high 3*, and that's pretty much where 247, ESPN, and Scout also slot him. And by "high 3*," I basically mean "just a hair below a 4* ranking." Daniels' projected position in college might have something to do with that rating, too -- he's being considered as a center, which is not a spot that tends to generate a lot of gaudy star ratings in the recruiting biz.

COMPARABLE. Daniels is one of three to begin their career early and we'll get our first look at him this spring game. There's a real chance with the 15 extra practices that Daniels could make it into the two-deeps next season. For now, he's likely third team.

For a Hawkeye comparison, Austin Blythe is a good start. Blythe has been in the mix since his red-shirt freshman season and Daniels will likely figure in for four years as well.
