A win on the road over a top-20 team to open Big Ten play? Yeah, we'll bust out this:

Woo!
It wasn't always pretty down the stretch, but Iowa made key shots (thanks, Jarrod Uthoff and Josh Oglesby!) and got some big defensive stops, which enabled it to hang on and claim an excellent 71-65 win over Ohio State in the Big Ten opener for both teams. Non-conference struggles? What non-conference struggles?
Aaron White and Jarrod Uthoff were co-men of the match today. White was a key force in the first half, leading Iowa's hot start and doing things like this:
He finished with 18 points (on 5/10 shooting), 9 rebounds, and 2 assists. Uthoff came on strong in the second half and helped Iowa preserve its lead; he finished with 18 points (on 6/11 shooting, including 4/6 behind the arc), 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Can we get THAT Uthoff to appear more consistently? Because if we do this could be a very fun basketball season...
Anyway, we'll break down the game in greater detail later; for now, rejoice in this tremendous win.
