The Iowa women avenged their only loss of the season as they took down Kansas State to close out their trip to the Gulf Coast Classic. They returned to Iowa City champions of the tournament and back up to #4 in the national polls as they moved to 4-1 on the season and added another top-20 win to their resume.

Now they look to build on that momentum as they return to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for a non-conference matchup with the Bowling Green Falcons. Bowling Green enters the day largely untested on the season, having not yet faced a power five opponent. Despite that, they did drop their road game at Texas State, the lone blemish on their resume to this point.

The Falcons may be able to present some speed bumps for Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes, but this one is expected to be less competitive than tonight’s Big Ten Championship Game featuring the Hawks. The real hope for Iowa is to remain healthy and built cohesion as the Hawkeyes prepare to travel to Ames to face off with Iowa State next week.

Will this one truly be smooth sailing for Bluder’s Bunch? Or can Bowling Green prove pesky enough to present a real problem for Iowa? We’re about to find out as the Hawkeyes and Falcons tip of from Carver.

As we prepare for tipoff, here’s a quick look at the details for tonight’s matchup.
