NCAA Basketball: Rady Children’s Invitational-Seton Hall vs Iowa
Can the Hawkeyes keep some holiday weekend momentum going in the return home?
Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

The Iowa Hawkeyes capped off their trip to San Diego with a solid win over the Seton Hall Pirates to escape with a split for the weekend. Now they look to close out the month of November with another non-conference win as they head back inside the friendly confines of Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Tonight’s matchup marks not only the last in the month of November for Iowa, but also their last tune-up game before thing really heat up in the month of December. Iowa will hit the road for a pair of big time matchups next week, including a trip to #1 Purdue followed by a cross-state trip to Iowa State. That makes tonight’s matchup a must-win to avoid any sort snowball entering the juiciest part of the early-season schedule.

North Florida comes in to the night winners of two of their last three games, but off a loss to LSU in their only power six matchup of the season. The Ospreys are averaging more than 75 points per game and giving up more than 70, so tonight is shaping up like a track meet. That seems to be right up Iowa’s ally.

Can the Hawkeyes continue to build some momentum and get the scoring going before they face off with Purdue and Iowa State? Or will North Florida catch Iowa looking ahead in a trap game in front of a late night crowd? We’ll know soon enough as the Hawkeyes and Ospreys tip off at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

As we prepare for tipoff, here’s a quick look at the details for tonight’s matchup.
