Game day is here once again and week two brings with it another tall task for the Iowa Hawkeyes. A week after demolishing the #17 Indiana Hoosiers, the now 10th ranked Hawkeyes travel to Ames to take on the #9 Iowa State Cyclones in what will be the first ever Cy-Hawk matchup to feature a pair of top-10 opponents.
The hype for this edition is as high as we’ve ever seen with the historic nature of the matchup and the second straight appearance by ESPN’s College Game Day at the game. Can the Hawkeyes and Cyclones live up to it? Both defenses seem likely to emphasize stopping dynamic running backs Breece Hall and Tyler Goodson. Which one will be most successful? And which quarterback can make enough plays to come away with a win?
We’re about to find out.
