Your Iowa Hawkeyes picked up their fifth commitment of the 2022 recruiting class Tuesday afternoon after a proud mother Tweeted this:

Kale Krogh is a 6-6, 265-lb offensive tackle prospect from Huxley. He spent the past weekend in Iowa City on an unofficial visit (aren’t all visits to Iowa City unofficial?) and was smitten by the Hawkeyes.

A two-way lineman for the Ballard Bombers, he started on both sides of the ball on a team that went 8-2 in ‘21. He also plays basketball and participates in Track and Field, checking all the multi-sport boxes this staff likes to see.

Krogh is regarded as a top-10 prospect in the state, and a top-100 offensive line recruit to go along with a three-star ranking. Iowa was his best offer by the time he made his decision, with offers from a handful of Ivy League schools, Toledo, and Tulane standing. He also had an offer from Minnesota, but will NOT be taking an official visit to Minneapolis that was scheduled for this weekend.

Krogh had been talking with Tulane for a while, per 247, and his interest in Iowa perked even more when offensive line coach George Barnett went from New Orleans to Iowa City this spring.

Krogh apparently held no offer from Iowa State, just a few miles from where he lives.

Welcome aboard, Kale!
