Iowa Basketball Matchup Second Look: Wisconsin

After a blowout win over Nebraska, it’s on to Wisconsin - but never on Wisconsin.

NCAA Basketball: Iowa at Wisconsin
Will Luka Garza go out on senior day with a bang?
Mary Langenfeld-USA TODAY Sports

The Iowa Hawkeyes absolutely demolished the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Thursday night and now have just one game remaining in the regular season. Things wrap up on Sunday with what is sure to be an incredible senior day as we send off Luka Garza and Jordan Bohannon.

The Wisconsin Badgers look to play the role of spoiler on Sunday as they fight to improve their seeding in both the NCAA Tournament and the Big Ten Tournament. The Badgers risk falling out of the 6 seed in the Big Ten Tournament if they get some help from Maryland and Rutgers. They’ve also been on a steady decline in the national polls and the NCAA brackets since their last meeting with the Hawkeyes, losing four of their last five games.

In that one, Luka Garza led the way for Iowa with 30 points as the Hawkeyes pummeled the Badgers in Madison. Expect Wisconsin to come out fighting on Sunday, but with the senior day festivities and all this group has fought to achieve, it’s hard to imagine Iowa laying down and taking any punches.

As we get ready for Sunday’s matchup, here’s your second look at how Iowa stacks up with Wisconsin.

Adjusted tempo is defined as total possessions divided by minutes, adjusted for schedule considering the preferred pace of each team.
