Tom Brands and the Iowa Hawkeyes have mathematically locked up the team title and will be coming home with #24 after tonight events. We had a tremendous morning session with Austin DeSanto, Jacob Warner, and Tony Cassioppi each winning and advancing to the 3rd place medal round.

DeSanto and Big Cass won their bronze medal bout while Kaleb Young took 7th. Jacob Warner eventually fell to the #1 seeded Miles Amine (MICH) to finish 4th. Overall, we went 6-1 to clinch our first title since 2010.

Now, we can sit back and enjoy the finals. All pressure is off and our guys can go out and do what needs to be done.

We’re starting at 133lbs and finishing with Spencer Lee at 125lbs as he chases his 3rd title.

***I want to enjoy the moment so I won’t be doing any play-by-play for the the finals round. But I will be dropping in quit-hitter thoughts/ reactions. Let’s finish strong and bring home three more individual champs!!!***
