Thursday

Round two tips off earlier on Thursday as basketball fans get a full day of action. The Hawkeyes are again not in action thanks to the coveted double bye they earned in the regular season.

There are currently two matchups set. That includes the opener at an eye-opening 10:30 am CT featuring 9th seeded Michigan State and 8th seeded Maryland. Both teams are fighting to get off the bubble and firmly into the field for next weekend’s NCAA Tournament

The other matchup pre-set for Friday features 10th seeded Indiana and 7th seeded Rutgers. That’s a 5:30pm tip. Here too are a couple teams with a lot to play for. The Hoosiers likely need to make some noise to end up on the right side of the bubble while the Scarlet Knights need to avoid a bad loss and early exit.

Saturday

And then there were four. Saturday brings the semifinals and Iowa’s first weekend game in the tournament since 2006. Ohio State’s “upset” of 4th seed Purdue on Friday is the only thing keeping Saturday from a full slate of chalk. Both matchups feature rematches of games that were tight the first time around in the regular season. Can Ohio State and Iowa exact revenge to face off for a rematch of their own in the Big Ten Tournament Championship game on Sunday?

Game 1

Matchup: Ohio State Buckeyes (20-8, 12-8) vs. Michigan Wolverines (20-3, 14-3)
When: Saturday, March 13th at 12:00 pm CT
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis, IN

Result: TBD

Game 2

Matchup: Iowa Hawkeyes (21-7, 14-6) vs. Illinois Fighting Illini (21-6, 16-4)
When: Saturday, March 13th at 2:30 pm CT (est)
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis, IN
