#19 Iowa Hawkeyes at Northwestern Wildcats Game Thread

The Hawkeyes and Wildcats are set to face off in Evanston.

Can Iowa turn things around this evening?
Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Hawkeye fans. Iowa has dropped two in a row and quickly fallen from the clear leader in the Big Ten West to a middle of the pack team.

Now they face off with the Northwestern Wildcats, who have had struggles of their own this season and find themselves near the bottom of the West. NU is also riding a two-game losing streak in the Big Ten after falling to Michigan and Minnesota the last two weeks.

While Iowa has struggled offensively in the two losses, the Wildcats have struggled to stop much in their last two games. Northwestern has given up a combined 77 points in those two losses while the Hawkeyes have scored just 14 in the last two games.

Will this be the week the Iowa offense gets something going? Will Brian Ferentz finally dial up something to help the struggling offensive line and get Spencer Petras in rhythm? Or will the Hawkeyes again find themselves unable to put points on the board and playing from behind?

Those questions and more are about to be answered as the Hawkeyes face off with the Wildcats from Ryan Field in Evanston.

Here’s a quick reminder on the details.
