WHAT’S UP ALL OF YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!
What a great day it is to be an Iowa Hawkeye football fan, right?
After handling the Maryland Terrapins with ease, as if framing in that way even comes close to painting an accurate image of the full destruction that took place in College Park, Maryland, this past Friday. The number three ranked Iowa Hawkeyes welcome into town the nationally ranked number four team in college football — the Penn State Nittany Lions.
It’s no secret how important this game is to both teams, as both teams are vying for not only a Big Ten title at this point, but also a potential birth into the college football playoff.
Calling this game a “resume builder” doesn’t fully do this matchup any justice, as this game will be attracting the attention of nearly every college football fan across the country and with that many eyeballs on one game, opinions are sure to be formed, respect or disrespect is almost certainly going to be thrown in different directions and the talking heads (I guess Thad and I are a couple of them) will be talking about and referencing this matchup for the rest of the season...
No pressure. This just happens to be one of the biggest games the Hawkeyes have taken part in over the past 50 years.
That said, on this week’s edition of the All Eyes Podcast, Thad and I talk give a thorough recap of Maryland, which includes talk of Spencer Petras’ maturation, the offensive line and the incredible Iowa defense (obviously).
In addition, we both share our thoughts on the Nittany Lions and go in depth on individual matchups and really breakdown every aspect of this Nittany Lions squad as they compare to Iowa’s roster and scheme and, as always, stay tuned to the end to hear our predictions on the outcome:
