Can Iowa make it five straight losses for Northwestern?

How many Wildcats does it take to stop Luka Garza?

The Iowa Hawkeyes have been sidelined for the last week given the cancellation of Iowa’s Thursday matchup with Michigan State. The Hawkeyes will be back on the court on Sunday looking for a season sweep against Northwestern.

Iowa won the first matchup against the Wildcats 87-72 on the back of a balanced attack. Iowa got a 24-point night out of Jordan Bohannon, who shot 6/9 from beyond the arc, while getting 19 from CJ Fredrick, 18 from Luka Garza and 10 points from Joe Wieskamp.

Northwestern was led not by their season leading scorer Miller Kopp, who had 11 points on the night, but by big man Pete Nance, who finished with 21 points on 34 shooting from beyond the arc.

Since losing to Iowa, the Wildcats have been on a skid. They’ve now lost four straight, included the trip to Iowa City, but it is worth noting each team they’ve lost to in that stretch (Iowa, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio State) were all ranked with three of those games on the road.

Here’s your first second look at Iowa’s matchup with Northwestern.

Adjusted offense and defense metrics measure the points scored per 100 possessions, adjusted for quality of opponent, location and when it was played (more recent gets more weighting). Adjusted tempo is defined as total possessions divided by minutes, adjusted for schedule considering the preferred pace of each team.
