The University announced today that a lucky 10-15,000 fans will have the opportunity to watch the Hawkeyes in-person during the abbreviated 10-game season.
Tickets will be sold separately for each of Iowa’s home games, and not come as a typical season ticket package. Pricing will come out later, and it seems like tickets are just going on sale to the general public like you’d buy a concert ticket.
Tickets will be priced by game and location, and everything will be on mobile only, something I know security at Kinnick is really persnickety about.
The news comes a week after Ohio State announced they were putting the kibosh on tailgating and limiting capacity in the ‘Shoe to 20,000. It doesn’t look like Iowa is disallowing tailgating, but it does say that parking lot capacity will be cut in half.
Fans who do attend a game will be required to wear a mask at all times, and sit in groups of 2 or 4. There will be a student section it looks like, but I’m not sure how that’ll work.
