NCAA Basketball: Iowa at Purdue
Can Luka Garza power Iowa to an undefeated Big Ten home slate?
Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Iowa Hawkeyes kept their Big Ten home record perfect with a big time win over #16 Penn State over the weekend. The win was Iowa’s 7th against a top-25 opponent on the season, the most of any team in the country. Tuesday night, the Hawkeyes look to close out the regular season home slate perfect in the conference with just that early loss to Depaul on the resume.

They’ll do that in another revenge matchup as Iowa hosts our most hated rival: Purdue. The Boilermakers, you’ll recall, caught fire early and often in West Lafeyette nearly a month ago when these two teams met first. The Hawkeyes will need to be improved on the defensive end if they want a better result.

They’ll also need to see more of what we saw against Penn State, which is to say balance. Iowa got at least 6 points from 7 of the 8 players who saw time agains the Nittany Lions with all 8 getting at least 15 minutes. The rest and balance is key for giving help to national player of the year candidate Luka Garza.

Here’s your quick look at the matchup between Iowa and Purdue.
