Iowa football’s Tristan Wirfs is wasting no time in using his notoriety for the Forces of Good. The future first-round draft pick is pledging to donate money for every inch of his staggering vertical leap as he participates in the NFL combine next week in Indianapolis.
Excited and humbled to announce that I'll be raising money for @UIchildrens at the NFL Combine. Please join me in supporting this amazing place and these great kids lives by making your pledge for every inch of my vertical jump! https://t.co/o8bt9lZsjT

Folks can pledge to donate a dollar amount for each inch Wirfs leaps at the combine, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
As of this writing, $2,869 has been pledged to Wirfs, equating to roughly $90 for each inch of his estimated 33-inch vertical.
One can pledge a dollar amount in four different tiers— $0.75, $1.50, $4, or $8. Or those can enter a custom amount to be donated after the completion of the combine.
Wirfs will participate with other invited offensive lineman at the combine on Feb. 28. He’ll be joined by fellow Hawkeyes AJ Epenesa, Geno Stone, Nate Stanley and Michael Ojemudia.
