For the first time in more than three week, the Hawkeyes are coming off a loss. The last time it was a frustrating road loss to Nebraska without SG CJ Fredrick. In that return to Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the Hawkeyes blew out a top-25 Maryland team.

Tomorrow, Iowa is back in action for the first time since a frustrating road loss to that same Maryland team. Now they’re back in Carver for yet another showdown with a top-25 opponent as the #19 Illinois Fighting Illini come to Iowa City atop the Big Ten standings. Illinois is riding a seven game winning streak and boasts the conference’s only winning record on the road.
