The Iowa Hawkeyes suffered their first loss of the season the last time they took to the floor. In fairness to Iowa, the 99-88 loss came at the hands of the nation’s top team, the Gonzaga Bulldogs, on a neutral site from the Sanford Pentago in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Iowa looks to bounce back from the defeat in their first conference game of the season on Tuesday evening as they play host to our most hated rival: the Purdue Boilermakers.
Purdue enters the matchup riding a 3-game winning streak that includes an upset win over then #20 Ohio State in their first game of the conference season. The Boilermakers also have a W over Notre Dame on their resume in this young season despite close losses to Clemson and Miami.
Can Iowa get back on track and put a halt to the momentum the Boilermakers have been building the last week? Can Purdue slow down Luka Garza? Can the Hawkeyes hit water if they fall out of a boat in the ocean? We’ll have answers soon enough.
