Can the Hawkeyes remain unbeaten with a Cy-Hawk win?

NCAA Basketball: North Carolina at Iowa
Friday’s forecast from Iowa City: rain.
Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

The Iowa Hawkeyes passed their first big test of the season with flying colors on Tuesday, taking down #16 North Carolina 93-80. Now the challenge is remaining focused and not falling into any trap games during the next two matchups before taking on #1 Gonzaga on December 19th.

The first step in that process comes tonight as the Hawkeyes play host to the Iowa State Cyclones. The Clones come into the matchup on a different trajectory than Iowa, having missed their most recently scheduled game last Sunday due to COVID-19 concerns within the DePaul program. Iowa State enters at 1-1 on the season after losing to South Dakota State in their last game nine days ago.

As we start the countdown to tipoff, here’s everything you need to know about today’s matchup.
