Following a wild week four in college football, week five was expected to be a bit of a letdown in terms of pure craziness. However, it was supposed to bring with it some big time matchups. As it turned out, some of those big time matchups weren’t terribly exciting, but the craziness still ruled the day.

As we enter week six, we again see some big name matchups including four games featuring two ranked teams, as well as the Red River Rivalry. There is sure to be more craziness this week because it is 2020 after all, but there’s also the potential for more really compelling games featuring top teams

Here’s which games to watch and where to find them in week 6.

Thursday, October 8th Games

Just one game on Thursday night this week and it’s not exactly a big name event. However, we will get to see the University of Houston for the first time this season as they play host to 2-1 Tulane. It’s a 6:30pm CT kick and you can catch that on ESPN as you prepare for the Bucs and Bears on Thursday Night Football.

Friday, October 9th Games

Similar story on Friday night, though the matchup brings some more brand recognition. Only one matchup and it features 1-2 Louisville at 1-2 Georgia Tech. It’s an early kick at 6pm CT and just like Thursday night you can catch this one on ESPN.

Saturday, October 10th Games

The real action gets rolling on Saturday and it gets off to a fast start. The 11am time slot has four matchups featuring at least one ranked team and a pair of top-25 showdowns.

FOX is airing the Red River Rivalry, which has a little bit less luster with Texas officially rules Not Back last week and 1-2 Oklahoma reeling after a loss to Iowa State in week five. ABC has #19 Virginia Tech at #8 North Carolina with both teams unbeaten to date. Then ESPN has #4 Florida at #21 Texas A&M. The network also has the rights to Missouri at #17 LSU but hasn’t released an official listing. Expect that to be on ESPN2 (and potentially mirrored in certain geographies) with the SEC Network and ESPNU already having games on deck.

It’s worth noting there are a couple staggered start games at 11:30 and 12:30 if you’re looking to fill some commercial time, but they aren’t likely to be worth watching longer than 60 seconds at a time. Check the table below for listings.

The afternoon slate kicks off at 2:30pm CT. You’ve got #15 BYU hosting 3-1 UT-San Antonio on ESPN2. ABC has #24 Iowa State hosting 1-2 Texas Tech. And the big one is #3 Georgia hosting #14 Tennessee on CBS.

At 3pm, you’ve got some nice staggered games with #13 Auburn hosting Arkansas on the SEC Network. The ACC Network has Pitt at Boston College and FOX has Kansas State at TCU.

The evening slate gets an early start with #2 Alabama traveling to Ole Miss at 5pm. That’s on ESPN. Temple has their first game of the season in the same time slot as they travel to 1-2 Navy. That’s on CBS Sports Network.

Things get rolling in earnest at 6:30. NBC has #5 Notre Dame hosting “Not Your Father’s” Florida State. The SEC Network has Mississippi State at Kentucky. But perhaps the game of the week is #7 Miami at #1 Clemson. That’s on ABC.

Games wrap early again this week with just one game kicking off at 7pm. That’s Charlotte at North Texas and you can find it on ESPNU.

And that’s it for this week. Here’s a look at the full slate for week 6:
