The Hawkeyes head into the second half up 17-14 as New Kirk gets aggressive after a Matt Hankins interception. Iowa had the ball inside the 10 and decided to ** checks notes ** run it with 12 seconds left instead of taking a shot at the end zone. But a lead is a lead.
The Hawkeyes struggled through the air early but Spencer Petras has settled in and is now 14 of 17 for 174 yards and a rushing TD. The Hawkeyes have already topped 100 yards rushing and are leading in virtually every statistical category. If not for Cole Banwart stripping Tyler Goodson at the Purdue 10, the Hawkeye would likely be up two scores.

The Boilermakers will start with the ball in the second half. Let’s see if the Hawkeyes can find a way to slow down David Bell and grind out a win on the road.
Go Hawks!
