IOWA BASKETBALL VS. PENN STATE: How to Watch, Listen + Betting Lines & More

The Hawkeyes start the heart of the Big Ten schedule with a “neutral site” game against a top-25 opponent.

The non-conference slate is officially behind the Hawkeyes as they now prepare to enter the meat of the Big Ten schedule. Few would have predicted at the beginning of the year that Iowa would have escaped the most difficult non-con of Fran’s tenure with a 10-3 record to be ranked 23rd nationally. Fewer still would have believed you if you told them Jack Nunge, Patrick McCaffery and Jordan Bohannon would be out with (potentially, in the case of McCaffery) season-ending injuries. Yet here we are.

Now, the Hawkeyes move into Big Ten play with a tough matchup against the 21st ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. PSU comes in 11-2 with a signature win against then #4 Maryland. Fortunately for Iowa, this isn’t a true road game as they’ll be playing in the legendary Palestra in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, Google Maps tells me that’s still firmly in Pennsylvania. Can Iowa knock off a top-25 opponent in what is essentially a road game?

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s matchup as we count down the hours.
