After a grueling travel schedule to start the 2019-2020 season, the Iowa Hawkeyes have enjoyed a stretch of three straight home games and four of their last five. Now they’ll get back on the road for the first time since a trip to Northwestern more than two weeks ago as they travel to College Park for a top-25 matchup with the Maryland Terrapins.
Iowa and Maryland faced off back in early January in Carver. The Hawkeyes, playing without CJ Fredrick, dominated the Terrapins in round one. They held Maryland to just 49 points, only the third time under Fran McCaffery the Hawkeyes have held a Big Ten opponent under 50 total points. Can they match that defensive performance as they head on the road? Will the addition of Fredrick to the lineup help the Hawkeyes score more in line with their season average? Or will Maryland keep their perfect 11-0 home record intact?
