The Hawkeyes are coming off a big time home win over then #12 Maryland as they prepare to head to Northwestern. For their part, the Wildcats are coming off a win over Nebraska. That’s the same Nebraska that handed Iowa a road loss a week ago in one of the worst shooting performances of the McCaffery era.
Tonight, the Hawkeyes look to avoid their second bad loss of the year as they face off with a 6-9 Northwestern team that sits in the NCAA’s quadrant 3. Iowa will again be without freshman sharpshooter CJ Fredrick. Fortunately for the Hawkeyes, the Wildcats will also be shorthanded as they are without Boo Bouie and Anthony Gaines.
