The shoe has dropped, and Iowa football confirmed this morning that the Hawkeyes will be playing Penn State under the lights at Kinnick on Oct. 12.
Iowa's next home game versus Penn State on Oct. 12 will kickoff at 6:30 pm (CT) and will be televised on ABC, FS1 or BTN. #Hawkeyes #soldout #primetime— IowaFBLive (@IowaFBLive) September 30, 2019
Iowa has a history of sorts when it comes to playing Penn State at night, whether it be in Kinnick or Happy Valley. I’d rather not get into the recent history of the situation.
If Iowa can get past Michigan this week and if Penn State survives a battered Purdue team, then we’ll have a matchup of undefeateds in the top-15 AP rankings, with perhaps either or both teams cracking the top-10 depending on how other things shake out around the college football landscape.
Also worth noting that Iowa will be donning these bad boys for the night game:
But let’s just beat Michigan first.
