The Hawkeyes (6-5) lost two of three last weekend. After defeating Lipscomb in straight sets 25-21, 25-20, 25-13 the Hawks lost to Coastal Carolina 18-25, 25-14, 20-25, 16-25 and the again to Iowa State in a five set thriller 18-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 10-15. Iowa played without their leading hitter, senior Meghan Buzzerio, all weekend.

On Thursday, interim coach Vicki Brown was named the official head coach and signed a five year contract to remain as the head Hawkeye.
Stat Stuffers
Senior OH Meghan Buzzerio still leads the team with 119 kills on 310 total attempts (.374 hitting percentage) but her absence over the weekend has allowed junior Griere Hughes to close the gap with 118 kills followed closely by sophomore Courtney Buzzerio who has 112 kills.
Junior DS Halle Johnston is leading the team with 205 digs.
Sophomore MB Amiya Jones has 34 blocks to lead the squad. Sophomore Hannah Clayton is close behind with 30 total blocks.
