5’10”, 185 lbs

2019 Projection: Redshirt Defensive Back

McKinney earned first-team all-state honors in Michigan as a sophomore, junior, and senior. Unfortunately he’s coming to Defensive Back U so he will have to bide his time which will undoubtedly mean a redshirt in 2019.

Originally committed to Northern Illinois, McKinney couldn’t refuse the late offer to Iowa and enrolled in January of 2019 so he was able to work with the team in the spring.

In addition to defense, McKinney could be used on special teams either as a gunner or kick returner in his career.
