SB Nation Launches FanPulse Top 25, Hawkeye Fans Join Here!

Have you ever picked up your phone to check the most recent top 25 and wondered what in the world certain voters must have been thinking? Ever think you would have done it totally different? Totally better? Like, say, every time you pick up a pre-season poll and see Nebraska sitting inside a top 20?

Yeah, us too.

Well, the good folks at SB Nation are giving you the opportunity of a lifetime. No, you aren’t getting to watch the Hawkeyes in a national championship, but you are getting the chance to voice your opinion in the polls.

If you’re an avid user of the SB Nation network and a fan of the NFL or MLB, you may have already seen FanPulse. If not, here are the details.

FanPulse is a weekly survey of the college brands here at SB Nation. Each week, those who are selected to participate will receive an email with a survey to complete with questions about your favorite team (that would be the Hawkeyes, right?). It’s completely free* to join and 100% anonymous.

The results from the surveys will be consolidated into a weekly top-25. We’ll be providing you with updates on the poll, as well as some interesting graphics and some of the colorful commentary from around the country.

Now for the part we were told to say:

We are considered the voice of the Hawkeyes community here at Black Heart Gold Pants, and we talk every day about how the Hawkeyes are doing — whether they will win their upcoming game or how readers feel about that awful call from the refs.

Now, we are starting a new polling project — including a brand new SB Nation NCAA Football Top 25 — that will pull together the insights of the most plugged-in Hawkeye fans.

If you sign up, you will be among a vetted group from [Team Brand] who answers weekly survey of [mascot] fans developed by SB Nation. The survey will start going out regularly once the season begins, and will be highlighted by a weekly Top 25 ranking by Hawkeye fans. This is something that should take at most a few minutes a week to participate in.

We want to build the definitive Top 25 of informed college football fans, and that includes you. Your votes will be anonymous — though if you join, you are welcome (and encouraged!) to tell anyone you like. You’ll get to have your voice heard about whether ‘Bama is overrated or they’re not giving your team enough credit in the AP Poll week to week.

The results of each poll will be published by Black Heart Gold Pants (that’s us!) and may end up on SBNation.com also, along with the results from other team sites.
