Happy Monday. The countdown to the start of the Hawkeye football season continues with a pair of reserves from the state of Iowa, one from each side of the ball.

Noah Feldman - RS SO

West Liberty, Iowa (West Liberty)

6’5”, 235 lbs

2019 Projection: Reserve Tight End

Nick Anderson- SR

Waukee, Iowa (Waukee)

6’2”, 230 lbs

2019 Projection: Reserve Linebacker

Feldman is changing uniform numbers from #86 to #47. Will this change help him crack the starting lineup in 2019? Probably not, but stranger things have happened. With a lot of unknowns at the position, there will be some early opportunities for some new players to see some action.

There is some potential apparent when Feldman can make a play in space. Below are some highlights from his senior year at West Liberty.

Anderson came to Iowa as a walk-on from Iowa Western Community College in January of 2018. He recorded 80 tackles as a sophomore and couldn’t turn down the opportunity to continue to improve in the Hawkeye system over other offers.

While he hasn’t been in a game for Iowa yet, there may be some special team opportunities for Anderson in 2019.
