2019 Projection: Starting Left Guard
The annual Springtime Two-Deeps had both Landan and Levi starting that the guard positions for the first time in their careers, with Landan on the left and the other Paulsen is playing the other guard position.
Landan doesn’t have any starts under his belt, but he saw action in just about every game last year and has been a special teams starter for a couple years. After redshirting, Landan saw action in one game as a frosh. He didn’t get on the field until the bowl game against Boston College the following year, and then finally get his nose wet in 2019.
Both the Paulsen’s are listed at 6-5, 305 which is good size for guards. Both of Iowa’s tackles are world beaters. It’d be nice to have a pair of guards who can dominate the interior in similar fashion.
