Plenty of Hawks are getting a chance to continue playing

NCAA Football: Outback Bowl-Mississippi State vs Iowa Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

After a pretty swell draft for TJ Hockenson, Noah Fant, Anthony Nelson and Amani Hooker, a handful of former Hawkeyes are getting the chance to further their playing careers:

As the Tweets say, Nick Easley has signed a contract with the Bills. Matt Nelson signed a contract with the Lions, where he’s going to become a project offensive lineman.

Ross Reynolds is going to the Niners, and Keegan render is got a contract with the Eagles.

Parker Hesse, Jake Gervase, Sam Brincks, and Kyle Groeneweg all got minicamp deals. Hesse has tryouts with the Chiefs and Lions, while Gervase’s appointment is with the Raiders. Brincks has a camp tryout with the Packers and Groeneweg is going to spend minicamp with the Vikings.

Best of luck to our former Hawks! Matt Nelson’s development is going to be interesting to keep an eye on, and let’s see if the rest of these guys can’t latch onto a roster and make some impact.
