Megan Gustafson’s time in an Iowa uniform may be over, but we’ll still get to enjoy the all-time great as she furthers her basketball career.

Gustafson was taken 17th overall, going to the Dallas Wings. She’ll look to assert her inside presence and overall dominance in a league that won’t be able to afford to constantly double-team her, as she often was in college. She fell to the second round despite being a projected first-rounder in numerous mock drafts.
WNBA scouts have praised that Gustafson already has the frame and footwork to compete in the league, and her dominance this season made her an appealing option for just about any team that was in need of any sort of post player or inside presence.
Best of luck to Megan Gustafson and her WNBA future. Once a Hawk always a Hawk!
