Joining Wieskamp is Indiana’s Romeo Langford, Michigan’s Ignas Brazdeikis, Maryland’s Jalen Smith and Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu.

Purdue’s Matt Painter earned a unanimous coach of the year award by media and coaches, while Michigan State’s Cassius Winston was unanimously named player of the year. The coaches selected Penn State senior Josh Reaves as Defensive Player of the Year and Michigan State’s Xavier Tillman as Sixth Player of the Year. Both groups named Brazdeikis as Freshman of the Year.
