Hawkeye Sports Properties, the folks who manage the multimedia rights for the University of Iowa, have given us yet another Friday news dump:
Gary Dolphin has been suspended for the remainder of the basketball season by Hawkeye Sports Properties. The decision follows an "inappropriate comment" during the broadcast of the Iowa-Maryland game. More to follow.

This is the second time Dolphin has found himself in trouble this season. Earlier in the year, he was given a two-game suspension for airing his criticisms of Maishe Dailey on a hot mic.

The University of Iowa athletics department supports Hawkeye Sports Properties decision to indefinitely suspend radio play-by-play announcer Gary Dolphin.
The University of Iowa athletics department values diversity and is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all members of its campus community.
Jim Albracht and Hansen will call Iowa’s games for the remainder of the season.
