The fabled Transfer Portal has brought a punter to the University of Iowa.
Proud to be a Hawkeye! 110% committed, and blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing program. Thank you to @LeVarWoods @ProkickAus @JohnnyPKA, & all the Hawkeye fans for believing in me & showing their love. Can’t wait to put on the black and gold! #swarm19 pic.twitter.com/QXYAHbSwgj

Everyone give a warm welcome to Michael Sleep-Dalton, a former Arizona State Sun Devil who’s taking his talents to Iowa City as a graduate transfer.
Sleep-Dalton, a native of Victoria, AUSTRALIA (!!!) was the starting punter at ASU for the past two seasons. In 2017, he averaged 39 yards per punt with a season-long of 53 yards. In 2018, he averaged 43.8 yards with a season-long of 72 yards. He went to Tuscon originally as a transfer—he spent two seasons punting at the City College of San Francisco.
Iowa doesn’t dip its toe in grad transfer pool often. Though one of its most recent experiences with a grad transfer punter was EXTREMELY fruitful:
Anyway, welcome aboard Mr. Sleep-Dalton. Please be the answer to our punting prayers.
