Iowa football gets itself another versatile defensive back with Reginald Bracy, a 3-star safety out of Mobile, AL.

Bracy is another recruiting gem from the staff and a guy that makes you scratch your head when you think about recruiting rankings. He’s the No. 2 ranked defensive back recruit in the state of Alabama, but only had offers from Indiana, Central Michigan, Air Force and a few unmentionables, along with Iowa. Auburn, Tennessee, LSU and even Alabama reportedly showed interest in Bracy, but none extended a scholarship his way.

Bracy has an excellent nose for the ball, and loves to make tackles. I suspect the staff will find a spot for him on special teams early on, while having an opportunity to see the field as an underclassman at the same time.
