In case you missed it, the Hawkeyes brought home the bacon yesterday as they took down #8 Minnesota in Kinnick Stadium. And let’s be honest, you didn’t miss it, but we really wanted another opportunity to make a bacon comment. We’ll be here all week. Really.
As expected, Iowa moved up in the AP and coaches poll after adding a blemish to Minnesota’s spotless record.
The Hawkeyes moved up four spots to No. 19 in the AP poll. Minnesota, meanwhile, moved down four spots to No. 11.

Iowa moved up just two spots to No. 20 in the coaches poll, however.
There are just three unbeaten teams left in the land after Baylor blew a million-point lead to Oklahoma yesterday: Ohio State, Clemson and LSU are your juggernauts. With Penn State and Minnesota now suffering losses, it’s unlikely we see two Big Ten teams in the playoff if Ohio State were to go undefeated.
Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, Utah and Oklahoma are your one-loss darlings fighting for the fourth playoff spot, but Alabama is climbing an uphill battle following a serious hip injury to Tua Tagovailoa.
