Iowa (9-12, 3-7) continues their Big Ten season with back-to-back matches at home. First up is a visit from #7 ranked Penn State (16-3, 9-1) at 7 pm Friday. Then Rutgers comes to town (7-14, 1-9) at 7 pm on Saturday. Expectations are for a split this weekend, but Iowa can hope that Penn State is looking past them, and forward to, their match at #8 Nebraska the next night.

Last weekend Iowa lost at Purdue on Friday and then defeated Indiana in Bloomington on Saturday.

With only ten matches left on the season, Iowa will face seven teams that are currently ranked in the top 25.

Stat Stuffers

Sophomore OH Courtney Buzzerio and junior OH Griere Hughes are tied for the team lead with 232 kills. Buzzerio has her kills on 594 attempts (.241 hitting percentage) while Hughes has 541 total attempts (.259 hitting percentage).

Junior DS Halle Johnston is leading the team with 373 digs.

Sophomore MB Hannah Clayton has 59 blocks to lead the squad.

Freshman OH Kyndra Hansen and freshman MB Blythe Rients, both from Minnesota, have seen a lot more playing time as the season has progressed and are stepping up for the Hawkeyes.
