Iowa’s 10-3 loss to Michigan on Saturday was ugly, there's no way around that. Following one of the worst offensive performances in the Kirk Ferentz era, the Hawkeyes were sure to drop in the polls. The only question was how far.
Today we got the answer as both the AP and Coaches Poll were released.
In the Coaches, Iowa fell 4 spots from #14 to #18. That’s two spots behind Michigan, which jumped from #19 to #16 with the win. In the AP, Iowa actually received a bit more love only falling to #17. Michigan was also 16th in the AP.
Here’s the full AP poll.

That makes five Big Ten teams in the top 25 as Michigan State falls from the rankings after their 34-10 loss to Ohio State. Minnesota, at 5-0, is the firs team just outside the top 25. Iowa State received 5 votes this week.
Coming off the offensive struggles against Michigan, Iowa will face off with a top-10 Penn State team this Saturday. That’s slated for a 6:30 CT kick and will be broadcast on ABC.
