If you’re reading this, it’s reasonable to assume that you’re as passionate about the Hawkeyes as we are. Well, good news, because we’ve got an opportunity for you to come cover Iowa sports with us.

Black Heart Gold Pants has space on the roster. If you’re passionate about Iowa sports and are interested in joining our team, read on to find out if this is the right opportunity for you.

What are we looking for?

We need one or two writers to help cover the Hawkeyes, including wrestling and other non-revenue sports.

What qualifications should you have?

Ideally, we’d like to bring on writers who:

• Are passionate about the Hawkeyes.
• Already enjoy reading and participating in the community we’ve built here at Black Heart Gold Pants.
• Are familiar with Hawkeyes wrestling and other non-revenue sports and prepared to write about them.
• Have some familiarity with video editing and simple graphic design for visuals such as charts, graphs, etc.
• Are capable of breaking down film.
• Have an understanding of advanced statistics and an ability to clearly communicate the meaning behind them.
• Previous writing experience is preferred.
