Iowa Pro Stuff

Ricky Stanzi was cut by the Calgary Stampeders. Stanzi looked to be a favorite to be the starter this season, but the 30-year-old wasn’t able to keep a roster spot this summer. He was 4/8 for 53 yards and two interceptions in his time at Calgary.

Former Hawkeye Sean McCarty will play this year’s PGA Championship. It’s his first major PGA event since 2003, when he played the U.S. Open in Olympia Fields, IL. He joins Cedar Rapids-native Zach Johnson at the event.

Other Stuff
