IOWA FOOTBALL RELEASES START TIMES

KICKOFF TIMES FOR SEVEN IOWA GAMES HAVE BEEN RELEASED

NCAA Football: Wyoming at Iowa Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

Hey there!

Iowa football released the kickoff times of seven games today. Let’s take a look! All times central:

Sept. 1 Northern Illinois, 2:30 p.m., BTN

Sept. 8 Iowa State, 4 p.m., FOX

Sept. 15 Northern Iowa, 6:30 p.m., BTN

Sept. 22 Wisconsin, TBA

Oct. 6 at Minnesota, 3:30 or 4 p.m., TBA

Oct. 13 at Indiana, Noon, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

Oct. 20 Maryland, 11 a.m., TBA

Oct. 27 at Penn State, TBA

Nov. 3 at Purdue, TBA

Nov. 10 Northwestern, TBA

Nov. 17 at Illinois, TBA

Nov. 23 Nebraska, 11 a.m., FOX

Some quick thoughts include: I love how the Iowa-ISU game has found a home on Fox, I don’t know why NIU is a night game, and death, taxes, and Iowa playing its homecoming game at 11AM (Maryland).

I don’t mind the Black Friday game at 11am, and the Minnesota game looks to be in a weird timeslot, for some reason. I was really hoping the Wisconsin game would be played at night, but I seriously doubt Kinnick would host back-to-back night contests. It’s also weird that Iowa plays one home game between Oct. 6 and Nov. 10 but hey we always knew scheduling is dumb.
