An Iowa football underclassman re-activated his Twitter account. You know what that means.

Outside linebacker Aaron Mends has announced his intention to finish out his football career outside Iowa City.
Mends, a former three-star recruit saw sporadic playing time throughout his four-year career at Iowa. He saw action in just about every game in 2015 and ‘16... and more of the same in 2017, a year we thought he was going to play significantly. Well Bo Bower, Ben Niemann and Josey Jewell changed that and the table was set for Mends to breakthrough as a senior this year.
And then he tore his ACL six weeks before the season started.
Mends’ lone shining moment as a Hawkeye came in the friggin’ Outback Bowl two years ago, when he sacked Florida quarterback Austin Appleby.
Here you go, #Hawkeyes fans. What a pop by Aaron Mends. pic.twitter.com/XNi7Dkb8Fd

He was never heard from again.
Best of luck to Aaron Mends and his future endeavors. Once a Hawk always a Hawk.
