Michael Baer
F, 6’6”, 200 lbs
Sophomore, Bettendorf, IA (Bettendorf)
To conclude the countdown of Iowa Hawkeye basketball players is the final installment of our four-part walk on series: Michael Baer. Baer spent his first year of college, 2017-18, as a student manager for the basketball team.
He is not related to any Chicago White Sox executives but is related to Nicholas Baer, Iowa’s senior forward. Like his brother, he also attended Bettendorf high school and posted far more modest stats and accolades as a prep. It is fairly unlikely we see him replicate an ascent into the rotation.
He played in Iowa’s exhibition game and tallied a three trillion! Fun times. May more trillions be in his future.
