Well look at that, the Hawkeyes are back! Well, they destroyed Illinois, anyway, and while that may not exactly qualify as “back,” it’s better than losing. As impressive as some of the Hawkeye performances were in the 63-0 win over Illinois on Saturday, there were some performances from commits in the class of 2019 that may have been even more impressive last week.

Let’s take a look.

Active Players

Lineman Notes

Offensive line commit Justin Britt remains sidelined with his torn ACL. Warren Central defeated Center Grove 27-20 in the semifinals of the Indiana playoffs. They advance to take on Carmel in the class 6A championship game this Friday.

There’s a great read on how Britt has taken on a leadership role while missing most of his senior year in the Indianapolis Star.

Looks like the Hawkeyes got a good one.

OL commit Noah Fenske and New Hampton finished their season 3-6 and did not make the state playoffs.

Offensive lineman Ezra Miller and Ridge View also finished the year 3-6 and outside the playoffs.

And finally, lineman Tyler Endres and Norwalk were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, finishing the season 6-4.

That’s it for this week. We’ll be back next week to update you on the playoff performances of those commits still playing. Go Hawks.
