Rounding out Iowa’s early signing period, Pat McCaffery, son and brother to the other two McCaffery’s in the Iowa basketball program, confirmed what we’ve known for a long, long time:
“It has been a dream of mine to be a Hawkeye and play for my dad and now I am one step closer to that. I have a good relationship with all the current players already and I can’t wait to get on campus and work with all of them.” – @patrickmccaff22 // #Hawkeyes pic.twitter.com/iOYl8oXw2w

Pat comes in as an extremely accomplished recruit, earning a four-star designation from all the major recruiting services.
He’s a long 3-4 hybrid, the type that Iowa has kinda been missing since Jarrod Uthoff. He originally committed to Iowa back in October of last year and now has made it official.
Ostensibly, he’ll get to play with brother Connor now for three years as the elder Mac took a red shirt last season. Hopefully we can get some weird brother intuition mindgames going on now.
Welcome aboard, P-Mac! Looking forward to watching you dunk on some fools.
